Reading Progress

I almost done with Light of my Heart, maybe about 30 pages or less.  That is the one thing about reading on a phone or Kindle, you do not notice how many pages are left, though I know I am about 92%  done.

As for the book it is excellent.  I recommend it for everybody.  Even though I knocked it for being a romance, I was wrong to do that.  It is different than other romances and probably all types of fiction books-even fantasy and Science Fiction have at least a little romance-even some of those horror books where everybody dies-there may be a romantic moment.  This book basically has a moral that in order to move on in life you need to be able to forgive yourself and not take the blame for everything bad that happens to you.  Enough said, I don't want to spoil it for you.

I am about halfway through Shelter Mountain and still like it.  While this book focuses on Paige and Preacher, there are side stories as well.  (Spoiler Alert).  There are two characters Lizzie and Rick, ages 14 and 16 who-in the last book became intimate.  Since he didn't use protection he was scared that he got her pregnant.  She had left town shortly afterwards to go back to live with her mother and she assured him one time when he called that she wasn't pregnant.  However, in this book she comes back to town to live with her aunt and she indeed is.  She had told him that she wasn't because she was afraid to tell him and was sure that he would hate her.  However, when he found out, he stood up to be a man and that he would take full responsibility for the baby.  Now Rick could have ran but he didn't.  He is a character you want to have your back.

For my next read, I am going to order the next dragonlance book, Dragons of Winter Night.  As soon as I finish Light of my Heart, I will make this my break time book.  After I finish Shelter Mountain, I am going to read the next two books in the Silver Hills Trilogy.  These will be the books I will read at home.
