Dragons of Autumn Twilight

I started that last Sunday and am over 40% done.  I forgot how easy of a read this book is.  This one is approximately 450 pages.  I am reliving the characters I remembered from when I read the Chronicles years ago.  Yes, Tasselhoff Burrfoot is still my favorite character.

I am starting to see some Christian undertones in this book.  For example, the mountain that fell out of the sky and caused the Cataclysm-could this possibly be Wormwood during the time of the Tribulation?

I have already been been introduced to the Black Dragon and I remember a red one towards the end of the book.  Could these be symbolic of the four horsemen of the apocalypse?

Whether these undertones are intentional or not, you would love the dragonlance world.

Its has been a while.

And guess what?  I am going to have to reread that last Dragonlance book.  I did read other books.  When I was halfway through again-go figure-a coworker lent me a couple of her books from a series.  I will write about it next weekend. Plus I am also planning to read every Star Wars book.  I think there are around 250 books.

Reading Book Series

Whenever I read a series, I try to read all of the books within a certain time frame.  That way when I get to the last book in the series, I will sort of remember what went on in the first books. One series I finished two years ago was The Left Behind Series by Tim LeHaye and Jerry Jenkins.  There are something like 16 books in that series and I started reading them as they came out-the first book was published in 1995.  I had read all but the last four books in the series and ran into a bit of a financial slump and was several years before I was able to buy them.  However, since some time had passed, I decided to read the books from the beginning.  Some may think it is a waste of time re-reading a book.  But I had no qualms about it and found them just as enjoyable. I also did the same with the Harry Potter Series.  When I got The Deathly Hallows, I decided to read the other books again.  It took me about a year, since I usually have two to three books going on at the same time.

Rereading Dragons of Spring Dawning

I started this back in the Middle of August and then got distracted and never finished the book.  I did get about halfway done and just decided to start from the beginning. I sometimes let distractions rule my life and it is probably best if I started because I forgot mostly of what I read.
