Progress of Dragons of Spring Dawning

Okay I am moving along fairly well with this book this (third) time around.  I am about to the part of where I stopped the second time.  Since, I like to have two books going at the same time, this is the book I read after I get home from work and like to read a chapter before I go to sleep.  Now yesterday, I could have read more chapters since I had a major battle with insomnia.  (Sometimes with working nights, I have a hard time falling asleep during the day.)  I should have just surrendered to that battle.  There are times where I might not get a chance to get a chapter in.  For example, I have a dinner to work at the American Legion next Thursday.  Then I have a couple of days of overtime.  But then on my days off, I can get several chapters in.  I usually try to read fifty pages on those days.  (Sighs:  at one time I used to read 300 pages a day.)

There is another book that I read on my breaks at work.  However, I won't tell you what it is until my next post-which will probably be ten minutes now.  Unless my daughter kicks me off the computer.

Its has been a while.

And guess what?  I am going to have to reread that last Dragonlance book.  I did read other books.  When I was halfway through again-go figure-a coworker lent me a couple of her books from a series.  I will write about it next weekend. Plus I am also planning to read every Star Wars book.  I think there are around 250 books.

Reading Book Series

Whenever I read a series, I try to read all of the books within a certain time frame.  That way when I get to the last book in the series, I will sort of remember what went on in the first books. One series I finished two years ago was The Left Behind Series by Tim LeHaye and Jerry Jenkins.  There are something like 16 books in that series and I started reading them as they came out-the first book was published in 1995.  I had read all but the last four books in the series and ran into a bit of a financial slump and was several years before I was able to buy them.  However, since some time had passed, I decided to read the books from the beginning.  Some may think it is a waste of time re-reading a book.  But I had no qualms about it and found them just as enjoyable. I also did the same with the Harry Potter Series.  When I got The Deathly Hallows, I decided to read the other books again.  It took me about a year, since I usually have two to three books going on at the same time.

Rereading Dragons of Spring Dawning

I started this back in the Middle of August and then got distracted and never finished the book.  I did get about halfway done and just decided to start from the beginning. I sometimes let distractions rule my life and it is probably best if I started because I forgot mostly of what I read.
